We are proud to announce a new company under the name of Sunman turnings. This site is dedicated to the artistic skill of wood turning, made here in France from local reclaimed wood.

Our pens have had a great reception and orders are being taken for Christmas. Each pen is unique, hand turned and has a history. Making it the perfect gift.

The first pen turned was a gift. The wood was from the lime trees that stand proud in front of Rancon's 12th Century church. The lime burr was removed over 2 years ago and has been air dried for turning.

Our range currently offers prices to suit all budgets. Ball point pens start at as little as 20 euros and fountain pens are priced according to the rarity of the wood and type of nib used.

We hope to get this site up and running as quickly as possible but please be patient, building a stock, the way we source the raw material, is not a quick process. Once gathered, the wood needs to be completely dry.  Drying time can be anything from a week to several months, dependent on how green it is. We would like to point out that we use only fallen wood, or standing dead woods, maintaining minimal impact on our beautiful countryside and the environment.
